Family: Wife, Marian, who has two adult children from a previous marriage. Mother is retired and lives in southern California. Father and brother have both died. Kitten named Bonfiglio, who was named after a drug store in Oak Creek. Her sister MinnieKitty died after a couple of months.

  Drug Legalization
- What we do in our homes is our business, not the governments.

- If drugs were legal there would be a lot less violence because of them.

I don't do drugs, nor do I particularly enjoy being around those who do. However, what people do in the privacy of their own homes is their business. It's not my business, it's not your business and it certainly is not the governments business.

Besides, morality laws like these do not work. They did not work when we tried to outlaw booze in the 1920's. All it did was drive the booze industry underground and create another class of rather wealthy criminals, which is exactly what is happening today. Morality laws still do not work because they aren't stopping anyone who really wants to from doing drugs.

Also, does anyone seriously believe the drug violence occurring in our country and on the Mexican border would happen if drugs were legal? Is our border with Mexico wracked with violence over coffee? Of course it isn't. Coffee is legal; there's no reason to fight over it. If you want to sell coffee in the Untied States all you have to is put it on a truck, drive it across the border, and find someone willing to sell it. By legalizing drugs we will do our part to end drug violence on our border.

The purpose of government is to provide for the liberty of its citizens. By continuing to criminalize what is a personal lifestyle choice, we are showing we are not smart enough to heed the lessons of the past. It is another example of us doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

The Purpose Of Government
The purpose of government is to provide for the liberty of its citizens.

Our Financial Crisis
Our problems are both short and long term. Something must be done now.

Taxes
A flat tax is the best way to get this country moving again.

Our National Debt
Our annual deficit should be limited to two percent of our Gross Domestic Product.

Capitalism Is Not A Four Letter Word
Only a free market can get our economy out of the doldrums.

What About Boom And Bust Cycles?
Let's keep government from butting in and let our economy run its course.

Health Care
Let's make doctors and health insurers part of the free market.

Medicare And Social Security
Whether you agree with these programs or not, people worked hard for these benefits and we cannot back out of our deal with our citizens.

The Death Penalty
We've executed people for crimes they did not commit. This is wrong.

National Defense
Peace through strength...And staying out of everybody's hair.

Abortion
Probably as old as pregnancy itself, whether it is legal or not it is not going to go away.

Religion's Role In Our Government
Our government must respect our right to believe, or not, as we see fit. It must not cater to our individual beliefs.

Gun Control
We don't need a government permit to exercise our First Amendment rights, why do we need one to exercise our Second Amendment rights?

Drug Legalization
- What we do in our homes is our business, not the governments.

HOMOSEXUALS IN THE ARMED FORCES
Homosexuals have been serving this country honorably since the Revolution.

HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE
Gays are people too

IMMIGRATION
As long as our standard of living is high and we do not turn this nation into a police state, we will always have to pay a price for illegal immigration.
